I’m a mom of four young children. As a result I’ve created an office environment that is welcoming to families with younger children.
I love having a community of people around me. It’s one of the reasons we chose Shrewsbury as the home for Kitchell Chiropractic. It’s also the reason I partner with health and wellness businesses and practitioners throughout the region.
A visit to Kitchell Chiropractic will connect you with much more than wellness services. You may discover a new CSA (community supported agriculture), Holistic Mom’s Network, locally produced honey, and more. See our Resources and Regional Partners pages for more.
College and Introduction to Chiropractic
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
My first introduction to chiropractic was in my junior year of college when I shadowed and became a patient of the university’s athletic chiropractor. It was then that I became aware that “normal aches and pains” weren’t normal at all.
I quickly fell in love with the idea of an all-natural wellness approach to health, eliminating the need for outside influences and allowing the body to heal itself the way God intended.
New York Chiropractic College
I pursued my chiropractic education at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in the Fingerlakes region. In 2009 I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and became board certified.
Following my graduation from NYCC, I practiced for four years as an associate doctor in multi-disciplinary clinics. I then moved to Baltimore, continuing to work in Maryland and eventually my family made the move to Pennsylvania where I opened Kitchell Chiropractic.
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ S.I. joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.
The Webster Technique has become a familiar term in the pregnancy and birth conversation. Families are seeking out chiropractors who are proficient in this technique as a way to support a more comfortable, safer, and easier birth.
Webster Technique chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. More women and birth providers are discovering the many benefits associated with chiropractic care in pregnancy and recognize this area of expertise through Webster Certification.
I continue my professional development via continuing education classes through the ICPA. I love speaking to pregnant women, families, and children about the importance of chiropractic care and how it can benefit your health.
Kitchell Chiropractic: The Family Wellness Center
I opened Kitchell Chiropractic: The Family Wellness Center in May 2016 and I absolutely love the opportunity to provide holistic healthcare to my surrounding community in South Central Pennsylvania.
I believe not only in addressing the issues of the body, but also in educating patients – both are key to your continued success and understanding of this amazing lifestyle!
I want you to know that your body is an absolutely amazing design that is capable of so many things. Processes that you aren’t even aware of are occurring every millisecond and are facilitated by your nervous system.
Your central nervous system, housed in your spine, is one of the most important systems in the body and so many people take that for granted, beating down on it constantly day after day. Fatigue, digestive issues, anxiety, pain… these aren’t things you should be experiencing when you are functioning at your best.
Chiropractic care can help your body function, it can help you heal, it can help you to actually live the way God intended. There are so many people that don’t realize how suppressed they are from ‘daily living’.
Let us help you change that, let us help you grow and heal. We are here to meet you where you’re at and learn to experience life full of your potential. We would love to meet you, in the office or at an event. If you’re not quite ready for chiropractic care yourself we still encourage you to come in and see the office, have a free complimentary consultation, or attend a workshop. You’ll be glad you did!
